PTSD and Pot

This article focuses on the tough position held by the Veterans Administration. Federal law prohibits marijuana use, yet many of the soldiers coming back from deployment have PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). I have this disorder also and can tell you it’s brutally painful when those flashbacks hit. I find pot helps to setting the brain down when I’m starting on that path. So, apparently, does the soldier at the heart of this story. The quote above is what his wife has to say. ONE QUARTER of New Mexico’s medical marijuana patients are using the plant to help with PTSD. Hopefully we’ll get some proper scientific studies going here soon. And I must add that I have intense anger for the VA. Show some compassion, why don’t you?! These guys and girls sacrificed so we could HAVE a fucking VA and you won’t help them when you know you could because of a bullshit federal rule that is officially opposed by all major physician’s and medical groups? Be ashamed.
